Hello! My name is Sharon and I am SO glad you are here! I am passionate about fitness, eating real food and living a healthy lifestyle. I have learned to love health eating, it was not overnight it's a learned habit. Healthy eating and learning new ways to stay fit has changed my life. My journey started in May of 2001 with the birth of my twins that triggered a small weight gain. I had always been a healthy person up until then. With the birth of my twins I lost a ton of weight right afterwards then started gaining weight a year later. After getting my health figured out as to what caused the weight gain, it was time to really get in shape. I did really well for about 10 years. Then as my twins grew I started to put on weight AGAIN with having a desk job, working long hours and driving 3.5 hours a day. I was in crisis mode form my life. I was scared, my doctors were as well. I really wanted to get well and stay well. Since 2015, I have lost weight and maintained that weight loss and have continued to work to reach my weight loss and health goals by healthy eating and exercise. There is no quick fix but slow and steady wins. You can see more of my clean eating, before and after pics, etc. on Instagram Like many people, I have had a few ups and downs on my journey. All of the ups and downs are simply setbacks not roadblocks. We go through journeys in life, it's part of being human. Don't beat yourself up over having harder periods in your journey for we all do! We all have hurdles or things which take us off track such as injuries, illnesses, families to take care of, etc. but NOT one of those reasons should STOP you from reaching your goals. When you know it's time, it's time. Many of us have had a wake up call to completely change our lives or some of us just get back on track after a small break the stuggle is real for both. I gained back some of the weight, then lost it again. I think it's important to know I wasn't 100 percent sure I could do this in the beginning. I lost almost 50 lbs through seriously cleaning up my diet alone and by that time I really was committed to changing my body and my life. With my busy work schedule, having a family and the driving a ton it's not always easy to get the gym. So I've learned to workout on my own, walk when I can and most importantly to always try to keep moving. Recently I took at 4 month break from working out with an illnesss and a shoulder injury and I'm ready to get started up again. For a while, my body was able to stay similar to what it had been. However, with time, I started to back slikde on my progress. My weight crept up, and my body fat percentage also increased. I could see the change in my body. I had been building a lot of muscle before since I stopped lifting weights after an injury, so my muscles aren't what they were. While my weight didn’t fluctuate much at first, any muscle definition that I had was gone. In Early 2017 I decided that I needed to get back to working out after taking a break to reflect on the future. Even with maintaining my healthy diet it was not enough. I've changed my habits and my lifestyle once again and I'm in to win. I had previously participated health challenge groups but have decided to go in the direction of lifestyle platform/blog since short term goals aren't long enough to see significant change, this is truly a lifestyle for long term health. I started incorporating at home workouts that I could continue even during my hectic work schedule. Changing the way that I eat and nourish myself and that has contributed a lot to my success as well. Since the beginning of the year, I'd lost another 10 lbs. I feel a lot better at a lighter weight and have more energy, I have more confidence, and I am now ready to be in the best shape of my life! I want to share fitness with others and make it more accessible. It really has been trans-formative in many ways. I used to think that I would never be able to lose weight and that exercise would always be hard.. but I know there are easy ways to exercise when you are overweight (they do exist) and look where I am today...it's priceless. That is why I am passionate about sharing fitness with others and helping them realize their goals in this area. It is possible and you can do it! It won’t always be easy, but it will be worth it and you'll be so happy with yourself. Living a healthy lifestyle has also brought many wonderful people into my life. (A tribe of like-minded people with similar goals to inspire one another) It has allowed me opportunities that I never thought possible. It has empowered me not only my physical transformation, but also thru a mental transformation and an improved outlook on life. If you want to change because you are unhappy where you are and want to feel better, or if you are need of help reaching like losing weight or a physical long term goal like running or walking a half marathon, contact me. I would love to help you in anyway that I can to really clean up your diet and get started. A few tidbits about me - I love helping others, I avoid dairy (because I believe it causes inflammation in the body), my favorite colors are periwinkle & purple, I am obsessed with alkaline water, I love a piece of candy here or there but it doesn't rule me, and I walked my first half-marathon a few years ago. Now I walk “for fun” and to clear my mind, something else I never used to think was possible to think of exercising as "fun". I have more energy, more confidence, and as I'm able to exercise and be active I'm finding a new way to live life. I have learned the journey is never over because I will always be working towards living a healthier life, so I no longer focus on the short term goal but focus on the long term, I focus creating habits that will last. I now help other people learn to love exercise & make healthier choices. I’d love to get to know you and your journey – let’s stay in touch!! Wishing you much success on your journey!
