Designer Expanding to the Home Decor market-
Sharon has been designing dried floral arrangements and wreaths since she was a child, having grown up in family which loved crafting and decorating which appreciated beauty in their surroundings. In her early 20's Sharon started to design professionally. About a decade later, she and her husband later moved South and where she spend years designing for a number of large design studios, wedding and event studios. A few years after returning home to New England, Sharon began experimenting with making wreaths by hand with twigs and dried arrangements while also working as a fresh florist for local studios. Sharon plans to start sell her designs via local wholesale outlets and online by request only. She plans to show her work in craft shows in her area for her fiber art and dried work. She plans to sell directly to customers her high quality, made to order and hand-crafted designs. Sharon prides herself on having worked for many studios which have had the best customer responses from their clientele, with many repeat customers for generations. A couple of years ago Sharon took a break from designing to pursue other things. She plans to expand her business back in the direction of designing and beyond design, into other aspects of where design can take you.
Born and raised in New England, Sharon grew up in a family who put education and hard work first. Sharon can thank her parents for her type A personality that has allowed her to get work done and make many things happen. She considers herself to be a fairly simple person with a BIG heart and desire to help others. With many diverse interests in many areas she's had the pleasure of collaborating with others on many projects. With an appetite for creation which comes from the world around her. She is always creating be it a simple painting to a full on event. At a very young age, she gravitated to helping others and bringing joy through creation is simply another way of expressing herself and helping others. Her background in design has been various from shops which focused highly on wedding design to other full service event planning agencies with a floral division.
Sharon enjoys the simple things in life. She appreciates the blessings she's received. Blessings which she is grateful for and doesn't take for granted. Sharon is a huge animal lover with two dogs and a bunny. Fresh flowers have always been a huge part of her life. She does not go a day with out simply enjoying small things in life - a cup of coffer or tea, a good book or simply a walk in the park. Sharon does love to write and read daily.
Sharon is open to teaching design, mentoring others, meeting new couples and creating one-of-a-kind events
Since 1990 Sharon has been a wedding, event and floral designer around the United States in different states from New England to several states in the deep South. Wedding, event and floral designing has been her passion for years. With having worked for seven different design shops each with a different focus and/or expertise Sharon learned a tremendous amount. She has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of talented designers in many different states over the years which has boosted Sharon's skill-set far beyond design school . Sharon has had the joy to work with hundreds of couples and families on their biggest special days (weddings, showers, births, graduations, etc.) It's truly an honor for any designer to be the one chosen to design and share so many aspects of others' lives with them. To formulate and create special moments for others is a unique experience.
How Sharon got started - Sharon's father had taken her to a family friend's shop as a child it was such a magical experience as a child and left a lasting impression on her!!! She knew she wanted to design from an early age from this one visit and she can still remember the day! Dressed poinsettias and holiday floral arrangements peaked my interest. After high school Sharon graduated from a floral design school and finished college next (with a minor in art)
